The Blacksheep DX Team, composed of Ronan 14AT033, Norbert 14AT072, Pascal 14AT397 and Laurent 14AT675, reached the island on the 25th of May 2012, operating for 2 days until the 27th of May, making 321 QSOs with 37 DXCC, mostly in Europe, but with quite a number of QSOs with other continents as 2, 3, 11, 12, 22, 34, 43, 91, 136, 173 and 196 divisions.
Few were happy to get their first QSO with 169 division!
The Team took the only small ferry boat linking Herm with Guernsey, which allows many tourists to visit the island, altough cars are not allowed, and residents only use tractors and quad bikes.
We were hosted at a beautiful cottage, but we had to move away from there to operate as it is not allowed to erect the antenna in the quiet and peaceful village.
Within 10 minutes walk, we set up our station in a clear area facing the sea, avoiding any disturbance to residents.
Working conditions were RTX Icom IC706, antenna single element Quad and 100 Ah car battery as power supply.
