International Marconi Day 2026

 Ciao,

come forse sai il G.R.I. Alfa Tango da alcuni anni organizza eventi dedicati al World Radio Day (Unesco) e alle Celebrazioni Marconiane di fine Aprile.

Il 25 e 26 Aprile 2026, tra non molto quindi, si svolgerà l'edizione 2026 dell'IMD (International Marconi Day) e, sulla falsariga dell'evento Yagi100, anche durante l'IMD2026 sarà introdotta la figura dello special guest e cioè il G.R.I. Alfa Tango inviterà, attraverso gli HQ di competenza, operatori non-AT (anche indipendenti) ad attivare stazioni non-AT ma valide per l'International Marconi Day 2026 e gestite dalla piattaforma online ATLogger!

Durante l'evento Yagi100 tutti gli special guests erano giapponesi. Per l'IMD (in onore di Guglielmo Marconi) saranno solo italiani:

 Hai qualche operatore o team italiano interessato a fare attività durante l'IMD2026? e/o hai operatori attivi da Bologna o dall'Emilia-Romagna interessati a farsi sentire on-air con callsign speciale dedicato a Guglielmo Marconi?

Es. 1XX/IMD o 1XX/Marconi o 1XX0

Tutte le stazioni valide per IMD2026 saranno multimodo e quindi una buona occasione anche per appassionati di CW e digitale.

All IMD2026 Stations are all mode and all activators (if interested) can operate all mode (DIG, CW, SSB) even simultaneously!

 e.g. 1AT0 (one Alfa Tango zero) all mode, simultaneously: 
 .265 FTx DIG
 .400 CW
 .405 SSB
multi operator, three signals, one for each mode, simultaneous transmission

 e.g. 1NC0 (one November Charlie zero)
 .400 CW or DIG (RTTY)
 .405 SSB or CW single operator, mixed

... And so on!

So, hunters can have QSO with the same station up to three times with 1 QSO for each mode.

 NOTE please that by digital modes we mean not only FT8 but all digital transmissions like RTTY, PSK, JS8, etc.

 NOTE again please: activators (and hunters) will freely choose the software they prefer to use during the event as long as the final log of the activating station is generated and sent by activators via ATLOGGER. (no log for hunters)

 A friendly recommendation: don’t get upset if the software for digital transmissions doesn’t accept your callsign for FTx QSO or something like that: these are merely technical issues that can happen even on other bands sometimes with big peditions too. Feel free to ask for any possible support to the software authors!

 To activators and hunters:

 Q: Alex, good afternoon, xxxATxxx will operate in FT8 during the IMD2026. He's using xxxATxxx as callsign, but he said he ran a test with his digital modes software and it's not accepting his callsign. Could you please check how to proceed?

 A: Thanks for asking.

Note please that unfortunately FTx creates issues even on HF and sometimes even on big dxpeditions too: many callsign aren't accepted; many QSO aren't finalized and so on.

So, we can try to solve it as follows:

 Ask for support to our digital modes managers and/or to your favorite digital modes software author (...usually the software developers who adapt their software to contest and event's rules).

 Try different software (if any; check around!).

 Or simply ignore FTx and go directly to JS8, RTTY, PSK or any other digital modes!

It's nobody's fault: FTx is very difficult to develope and it's just a matter of bits, nothing more! Good Luck!
